St. Alphonsus de'Liguori's Day (Ordinary)

The event that gets the closest to a Christian's heart is Christmas, birth of Jesus. Not everybody knows that the universally known Christmas hymn "You Come Down From The Stars" was written by St. Alphonsus Maria de'Liguori, Doctor of the Church and Patron of confessors and moralists who lived in Campania in the eighteenth century.

The St. Januarius' Day (Ordinary)

The 19th of September, Naples celebrates St. Januarius' Day, in the honour of the Saint Patron of Naples. On that day the Saint's faithfuls await for the famous miracle of liquefaction to happen to the blood of the martyr Ianuario - collected by a woman after his beheading in 305 a.C. and preserved in two ampullae.
